Hello. I'm Brooke, a web designer, developer and community organizer who saw a need to change the way groups respond to distaster online.

During the Dixie Fire of 2021, it became rapidly apparant that there was no centralized user-friendly way for our community to organize online. Many people turned to social media to communicate, but that opened up the discussion to unproductive misinformation and left many commmunity members out of the loop. I dedicated myself to figuring out a better way to communicate both during and after a major disaster. In the process of our own recovery, I realized I had cultivated skills that could help other communities. The Seed Design Studio was born.

Through our own trial and error, I have developed best practices for creating effective email campaigns, engaging websites and communicating with the public during and after a disaster.

I will set you up to manage your website and email campaigns once they are live and provide support long after you've taken over. I do this work to help you succeed in helping others.
